Wyndham House is very much a reflection of who we are: we are Merrill and Martha. And we LOVE large, beautiful old homes with soul! Wyndham House is our chosen summer home located in the tiny village of Tryon -- on magical Prince Edward Island. The house was built in 1870 as the manse for the Tryon United Methodist Church. The church still stands adjacent to the property -- where services are still held every Sunday. The church, churchyard and house are situated on the Tryon River near a small wooden bridge, making this one of the most picturesque views in all of Prince Edward Island!
The house is very large and the yards are expansive, but the property has a warm friendly feel And everyone who visits is utterly charmed by the place. We adore this idyllic spot because it is so typical of what Prince Edward Island is all about – beautiful pastoral scenery with large friendly houses. It's like stepping back in time. The magic of PEI is the magic of days-gone-by, a time when things were simpler, life was slower. Here on the Island it still is!
