The house is located in a new gated housing complex with 24 hour security, maid service and gardener included, and friendly neighbors. The house is light and airy, with Talavera tile sinks and showers and bath. New addition of roof top terrace with fireplace, bbq and spectacular views of San Miguel de Allende historic centre.
The living room has a fireplace and is situated under a boveda ceiling. It has a lovely front porch view of the swimming pool (with a year-round temperature of 90-) and the beautiful skyline and hills of San. Miguel. This is a great place to relax, enjoy the pool and to use as a home base to explore San Miguel and for trips to the hot springs, the nearby town of Dolores Hidalgo where one sees the famous Talavera tiles and other beautiful ceramics. Guanajuato, the state capital with its fascinating tunnel roadways; famous Cervantino Festival and Queretaro, a UNESCO Patrimony of Humanity City just 45 minutes away.
A car is not needed to get to all the sites of the city. In fact, parking congestion and traffic are avoided by the use of the great local bus service. It is a simple three minute walk to catch the bus for a short ride, (for 40 cents) to the Jardin, Bellas Artes, Biblioteca and all other locations in the historic center. From there you can walk to any place you want to go; fabulous restaurants, shopping and historic sites. Great weather all year round. San Miguel has repeatedly been named by Conde Nast Magazine as one of the top five places for people to visit. It is great to know some Spanish, but it is easy to find English speakers to help along the way.
