Our apartment building is one in the central core of the city that was built at the turn of the 19th century or earlier. It faces a park and on summer nights you can hear the crickets chirping this in the middle of one of Europe's capital cities! A few minutes walk will take you to the spacious City Hall square and its nightly wide-screen open air opera concerts.
Other buildings in our neighborhood the main university building; the Vienna State Opera; the Hofburg, home to Austria's emperors; the gothic Votivkirche Cathedral, the stables of the Lippizaner, Austria's famous dancing horses. Vienna is a cosmopolitan, friendly city, consistently rated among the world's top three cities for quality of life. It has it all beautiful old buildings, large and well-laid out parks, a safe and clean public transportation system, culture, great food and excellent wines.
