So each party is staying at the other parties home at the same time. This simplifies matters, and you can call each other to check in on how things are going, answer questions, etc.

However, HomeWelcome does offer "offset swap dates", whereby, one party can stay in the others at a different time period as the other. Although typically, the duration of time stayed is roughly the same for both parties.

This option is common for those who have second homes, or vacation homes. Obviously, there is a level of trust required for offsetting swap dates. The party to swap at a later date bears the weight of all of the trust.
