In case you don't know Wanaka, and rather than go on about what a special place it is see www. lakewanaka. co. nz. Suffice it to say that if you want to ski this is THE place in the southern hemisphere! In Summer it is idyllic. We completed our home in December 2003, it is a modern quite traditional style 5 bedroom home set in 1 acre of mostly landscaped, some we have yet to finish, gardens together with a 12m heated pool, kept at 29C between October and May. There are two living areas downstairs with an open plan kitchen, family and dining area and a separate sitting/ home cinema room with Sky TV, and entertainment centre. Most rooms have LAN plugs plus a wireless network, and we are on Broadband 1Mb - no restrictions. There are three computers for your use, including one for the kids in the family area.
