Phil and Jan are both High School teachers of many years' standing. We are in our fifties and love to travel. We had our first house-swap in 1995 and never looked back. We have exchanged our home virtually every summer since that time, and made many friends along the way. Our two children have grown up and live in other parts of the country. We have two cats who live outdoors most of the summer and sleep outside. They can easily be looked after by our neighbours in the summer. We are non-smokers and prefer that there is no smoking in our home. We love to hike all year around and ski in the winter.
Living in an outer London borough means that we also have easy access to the villages of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, and places like the Chiltern Hills. Our pictures show our house (it's the one on the right, with the cars) and part of our street, as well as the back garden and recently refitted kitchen. We are both secondary school teachers. Our two children have grown up and 'flown the nest'. We have loved every one of our previous house exchanges and our exchange partners have enjoyed their time in our home.
