We are a couple with two children, Tashi aged 13 and Rory,11. Mark is head of a large charity, and Rachel works on health education and is a part time minister. We've lived in the house for ten years and love the closeness to London with the feel of being in the country, and having the park on our doorstep. This year we are only interested in exchanging for a house in northern Spain or South-West France.
An elegant, bright, terraced house with a large open plan kitchen, dining room and sun room on ground floor, additional living room and conservatory/study/ on first floor and double, single and small third bedroom on top floor. Guests may prefer to use the conservatory as a bedroom, rather than the smallest top floor room. The house fronts onto a main road and has a quiet terrace and 20m garden to the rear. Regular buses into Richmond and Kingston. We have a cat, which is friendly and no trouble, needs feeding, although friends can do this if occupants are away.
The village of Ham is the best of urban and rural life. The house is 50 metres from a large open common and woodland which leads after 500m into Richmond deer park, which covers.This covers over 15 square kilometres and is wonderful for walking and cycling. The river Thames is treelined, peaceful and also great for walking/riding. Its less than 1km away. Shops and pubs are within a few minutes walk.
