An ideal retreat for relaxing or exploring. Situated within the Southern edge of the Lake District National Park, Rose Cottage is set in its own grounds of 1/2 an acre of woodland. This location makes Rose Cottage the perfect base for exploring the many of places of interest of the South Lakes, whether by foot, cycle, car or train. Being near Grange over Sands, just 15 minutes from the M6 and just a mile off the A590, it is also ideal for exploring further afield. The cottage has all the facilities you need and sleeps 2 adults and up to 2 children - therefore ideal for couples and families with young children.
Andrew and Katrina bought the cottage as a second home in 2000 for themselves and their two young children. They use it mainly as a base for sailing on Windermere and exploring the rich landscape of the Lakes. The 100 year old cottage has been tastefully modernised internally and combines all that is needed for perfectly relaxed holiday living. The cottage boasts a pleasant and secluded al fresco eating area with an all weather barbecue. The cottage has been let commercially since the spring of 2005 to excellent reviews.
