We are Laraine and Roger a married couple, late fifties starting to slow down and enjoy life, but still very active. We both enjoy travell and visiting other countries. I am a Local Government Officer working in leisure and my wife is a part time nanny. Untill we retire in three years this would only be a short swap of two to three weeks. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see yours.
The town was built around 1975 and is surrounded by country side. Our house is situated fifteen minutes walk from the town shopping area with a big supermarket. (ASDA) Other amenities within this centre of the town include indoor swimming pool, sports centre, library, pubs and more. It is only 15 miles to the sea of Southend and 40 miles to the centre of London. In SWF there is also a train station that will take you to Liverpool Street, London and local buses.
