Ayr is a market town on the South West coast of Scotland in the heart of the Burns country; in fact Robert Burns was born about 2 miles away in a cottage. The cottage, with it's thatched roof.Ayr also lies central to 15 golf courses plus our house is about a mile to the beach and sea; there is a racecourse with regular horse meetings and a professional football team who we go to see most weeks . In town there is an annual cartoon festival and the "Burns n' a' that" music festival with both traditional and contemporary music on show. We are also a mile from the town centre that has many shops.
