My stone walled, beamed, part Mediaeval, converted farmhouse evokes 'oohs' and 'aahs' from everyone who stays there. They all want to move in permanently but, so far, I've resisted! With two foot thick walls and views of the hills, forests and fields from every room, overlooking the 15th Century tower of the Knights Hospitalier, the house and the village breathe the romantic history of this rural area.
The house has four bedrooms and three modern bath/shower rooms, tiled with hand thrown tiles from Terre Cuite de Roujols, which has refurbished parts of Versaille and numerous chateaux throughout France. The hand made tiles of La Bourdique echo the simple charm of the building, which is furnished with French and English antiques, including a harmonium, a huge dresser, two armoires and a table of the Henri IV era which, when extended, can seat 22 people.
