 Medieval House

In 2001 we bought a ruin of a medieval house in a small village in the Penedes-region in Catalonia, Spain. We since then got it completely restored and now it has become a comfortable house that combines medieval charm and 21st century luxury.
The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and another seperate toilet, a kitchen-diner with fire place, a large living room, an entrance hall with gothic arch and stone stairs, a large garage and plenty of storage-room in 2 cellars. There is nice garden, a patio and some large sunterraces. Throughout the house we installed underfloor heating under the handmade terracotta tiling. This means the house is also very comfortable in the 2-3 winter months, although in the Penedes-area with its mediterranean climate you won´t experience anything like the northern winters.
